Welcome to Centenary's web site!  We invite you to look around and get a feel for the many opportunities for fellowship and worship at our church. If you're not currently a member of our church, we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services. And of course, feel free to reach out and call our pastor.

We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries.

We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. You're prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you.

Centenary is conveniently located three blocks east of Jacksonville's  downtown Central Park Plaza, two blocks from MacMurray College and has plenty of off-street parking. Our sanctuary and educational building are entirely accessible (via our commercial elevator).

At this site, you will learn about Centenary, its wide array of program offerings and the many people who make up this loving church family!

Centenary is a part of the LaMoine River District of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church. This district is formed of the eighty-eight congregations in the area bordered by the Mississippi River on the west and Route 136 on the north. The eastern boundary is mainly along route 67 (but also includes other communities such as Rushville and Carlinville) and Jerseyville to the south. This western curve of the state has a rich tradition of Methodism with heritage that includes spiritual leaders like pioneer circuit rider Peter Cartwright and Peter Akers.

Many Blessings to you!

The God of my rock; in him will I trust; he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
2 Samuel  22:3
